Poster - 60th anniversary of Indian, Pakistani independenceIt’s a tradition for DIP Forum to celebrate the Independence Days of India and Pakistan. This year, however, all four Indo-Pakistani and Indian associations have pooled in together, displaying a unique endeavour to enhance friendship between India and Pakistan and peace in South Asia. The associations working together for the occasion are German-Indian-Pakistani Forum (DIP Forum), Indo-German Society (DIG), Indian Association Bonn (IAB) and Kerala Association Bonn (KAB). The venue of the event will be Brueckenforum, Bonn-Beuel.

Beginning at 5.00 pm on Saturday, 25th August, the format of this “mega show” will include a three-hour cultural programme followed by a festive dinner-buffet and finally a disco night ending up at around 3.00 am early next morning. A commemorative brochure will be published and the guests can also participate in a raffle with many attractive prizes. Around 1,000 guests are expected to celebrate the occasion.

Indians, Pakistanis jointly celebrate independence – free from acrimony

Spreading the message of friendship and peace, Indians and Pakistanis living in Bonn together celebrated the independence days of their nations last Saturday. The celebrations saw a six-hour-long evening of events that included a reception, music and dance performances by artists from both countries.

The unique event, organized by the Deustch-Indisch-Pakistanische Forum (DIP Forum in short), drew an audience of about 300, indicating the positive interest of the three countries’ citizens here who believe in working for peace and friendship in South Asia. This is the second year of such joint celebrations organized by the Forum.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 12 (APP): German-Indian-Pakistani Forum, established in 2004 in Bonn Wednesday donated euro 22,700 (Rs. 1.5 million) to Peace, Education and Development Foundation of Pakistan to set up schools in the quake hit areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Celebrate independence together through cricket, cuisine & culture

In a rare event, Indian and Pakistani cricketers jointly played to beat other cricket teams and emerge as champions. They almost succeeded.

The occasion was the joint celebration of the independence days of India and Pakistan in Bonn recently. The celebrations, spread over two days – 27 and 28 August – were organized by the DIP Forum (the German-Indian-Pakistani Forum).

The Deutsch-Indisch-Pakistanische-Forum e.V., DIP-Forum, will jointly celebrate the Independence Days of India and Pakistan on 27th August and 28th August 2005. You are cordially invited to attend the following events:

On Saturday, 27th August 2005, DIP-Forum will organise a Cricket-Tournament in cooperation with the Bonn Cricket Club at the Rheinaue Sports Ground (opposite which Bonn International school) from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p. m. The highlight of the tournament will be a friendship cricket match played between a DIP-Team (consisting of amateur-players from Pakistan and India) and a Sri Lankan team (amateurs as well).

DIP Forum organizes play on problems of integration in Germany

The city of Bonn recently witnessed for the first time a comedy play in Urdu. Titled “Yeh Zindagi” (This Life), the play was staged at the Brotfabrik Cultural Centre, organised by DIP Forum in cooperation with the Euro Theater Central, Bonn and the Deutsch-Indische Gesellschaft e.V., Bonn-Cologne.

Presented by the “Pakban Theatre Group” of Frankfurt, the play humorously describes the misunderstandings and difficulties, as well as the beautiful moments that arise out of the interaction between immigrants and Germans.
